Board of Education Meetings

The Board of Education is presently comprised of five members who are selected by popular election. In order to serve on the board, a person should have a dedicated interest in the welfare of all children and youth in our community and be a resident and qualified voter of the city of Manchester.

The regular meetings of the school board are held the second Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. The usual location of board meetings is the Administration Building/Level 1. On some occasions, the meeting may be held at a location other than the Administration Building. Specific dates/times for meetings may be obtained by calling 931-728-2316 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or by looking under the section THE NEXT MEETING OF THE MANCHESTER BOARD OF EDUCATION below. The board calls special meetings when necessary. All school board meetings and worksessions are open to the public and the public is invited to attend.

The Next Meeting of the Manchester Board of Education

There will be a Special Call Meeting of the Manchester School Board on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Manchester City Schools Administration Building Lower Level. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the approval of the Architect's Contract. A Board worksession will follow after adjournment.

The next regular meeting of the Manchester School Board scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Manchester City Schools Administration Building Lower Level has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Manchester City Schools Administration Building Lower Level.
